On Armored Avarris (Hemint Avarris)
- Omnivores but opportunistic eaters. They occasionally resort to cannibalism.
- Females are very rarely recorded to eat their sexual partner after mating successfully.
- They are covered in a hard exoskeleton that often extends up to the head.
- Their wings are bug-like but stronger then they appear, depending on the individual their wings are stored under their exoskeleton for protection and convinience.
- They can have mandibles and feelers, making them even more similar to insects.
- They usually have multiple arms but centaurism seems to be more common in this sub-species.
- Females are known to lay multiple small eggs in a secluded location. Their eggs are rarely bigger then those of chickens.
- They are the only sub-species who seems to go trough a metamorphose and appear to have multiple life stages.
- They consider Fiora bulbs to be a delicacy, much to the dismay of the local Fiora. They are mostly indifferent to them also eating their eggs, as they have larger clutches of them.
Biology / Physical Traits
Hemint Avarris are a fairly rare sub-species of Avarris, rarely being seen outside Na'vock's mighty forests.
Hemint, or ''Armored'' Avarris, are covered in protective plating where others of their kind might have scales or feathers. These plates are very hard, but are also prone to be shed often as they do not grow with them. |

Eggs and egg care
Heminth Avarris lay small eggs in large clutches (generally 3-6 eggs), making large families very common among them.
