Universal Culture
While most sub-breeds of Avarris have their own specific cultural aspects, those same aspects also often tend to overlap.

For most non-Avarris, the most jarring thing would probably be their complete disinterest in covering up their torso. As most of them either have no breasts to speak of, or don't have the same view on them as most humans do. Avarris can wear human-made clothes if they want to, and most do due to the backlash they would otherwise face from that population. However most might prefer to stick to their roots, so so say, and not cover themselves up.
Common Avarris-made clothing depends largely on the location and is generally made with things they find around themselves. Clothing in Sa'vel is made largely on industrial scale and looks similar to the human-made clothes. It's very common for defiant Avarris to not wear shirts but instead use loads of body glitter, fake gems, or pasties to cover what the humans would consider indecent. Clothing that is made in Na'vock still largely sticks to the ancient way they were dressed, which involves a lot of hand-made beads and loose fabrics wrapped around the waist and feet. Clothes that are from Noc'te or Kalaseral are generally very colorful in nature. |
Avarris food generally uses a LOT of spices, especially in the older cities and largely on Karra. The spices are generally used for either of these two reasons:
- They enjoy the taste - The spices help to combat the cold |
